The Richard D Wyckoff. (1873-1934) trading method was continued after his death by Bob Evans. The only approved licensed practitioner of the Wyckoff Trading method between 1934 and 1974.
Bob Evans (1904 - 1976) born in Richmond, Indiana of Welsh heritage, attended university of Miami, Ohio. In business he was involved with retail and insurance industry, he studied privately with Richard Wyckoff for 3+ years, which eventually lead to securing the rights to teach the Wyckoff trading method under an official license (the only official license practitioner post Wyckoff death in 1934). In 1951 Bob founded 'Wyckoff Associates, Inc' to continue his Wyckoff teachings, published newsletters and sell educational tapes. The tapes became the much loved product. Bob Evans had a reputation as an astute and successful stock market investor.
Bob Evans retired in 1974, and sold 'Wyckoff Associates,Inc' that eventually ended up as the 'Wyckoff Stock Market Institute', as it is known today (readtheticker.com is an approved affiliate of WyckoffSMI.com).
Bob Evans sold and taught the Richard Wyckoff course (seen below), he also provided education through a series of audio tapes (known as Evans Echoes). This course is now available in the Wyckoff Stock Market Institute online 'Wyckoff Unleashed' course.
The course books (available in pdf):

Here is Bob Evans son, Chip Evans recommending the book 'Charting the Stock Market: The Wyckoff Method' (see our education page).
Chip Evans also helped with the above bio of Bob Evans, thanks Chip!

Investing Quote...
...“My satisfaction always came from beating the market, solving the puzzle. The money was the reward, but it was not the main reason I loved the market. The stock market is the greatest, most complex puzzle ever invented – and it pays the biggest jackpot…it was never the money that drove me. It was the game, solving the puzzle, beating the market that had confused and confounded the greatest minds in history. For me, that passion, the juice, the exhilaration was in beating the game, a game that was a living dynamic riddle"..
Jesse Livermore
.."The stock market is filled with individuals who know the price of everything, but the value of nothing"..
Philip Fisher
..."There is no difference between communism and socialism, except in the means of achieving the same ultimate end: communism proposes to enslave men by force, socialism - by vote. It is merely the difference between murder and suicide"...
Ayn Rand
.."A market is the combined behavior of thousands of people responding to information, misinformation and whim"..
Kenneth Chang
."Buying stuff people hate, that's the business we are in, right!"..."you may need to have a longer time horizon"..."be patient"..

We at readtheticker.com hold the view that a mix of stock chart technical analysis, Richard Wyckoff, William Gann and Jim Hurst methods plus market fundamentals allows the investor to formulate a very sound market opinion. These attributes are mutually inclusive and must be weighted equally before investing or trading in any Stock, ETF, Currency, Bond, Commodity, CFD or Mutual Fund
