|
The Richard D Wyckoff. (1873-1934) trading method was continued after his death by Bob Evans. The only approved licensed practitioner of the Wyckoff Trading method between 1934 and 1974.
Bob Evans (1904 - 1976) born in Richmond, Indiana of Welsh heritage, attended university of Miami, Ohio. In business he was involved with retail and insurance industry, he studied privately with Richard Wyckoff for 3+ years, which eventually lead to securing the rights to teach the Wyckoff trading method under an official license (the only official license practitioner post Wyckoff death in 1934). In 1951 Bob founded 'Wyckoff Associates, Inc' to continue his Wyckoff teachings, published newsletters and sell educational tapes. The tapes became the much loved product. Bob Evans had a reputation as an astute and successful stock market investor.
Bob Evans retired in 1974, and sold 'Wyckoff Associates,Inc' that eventually ended up as the 'Wyckoff Stock Market Institute', as it is known today (readtheticker.com is an approved affiliate of WyckoffSMI.com).
Bob Evans sold and taught the Richard Wyckoff course (seen below), he also provided education through a series of audio tapes (known as Evans Echoes). This course is now available in the Wyckoff Stock Market Institute online 'Wyckoff Unleashed' course.
The course books (available in pdf):

Here is Bob Evans son, Chip Evans recommending the book 'Charting the Stock Market: The Wyckoff Method' (see our education page).
Chip Evans also helped with the above bio of Bob Evans, thanks Chip!

Investing Quote...
..“In a narrow market, when prices are not getting anywhere to speak of but move within a narrow range, there is no sense in trying to anticipate what the next big movement is going to be. The thing to do is to watch the market, read the tape to determine the limits of the get nowhere prices, and make up your mind that you will not take an interest until the prices break through the limit in either direction.”..
Jesse Livermore
..."The four most dangerous words in investing are 'This time it's different' "...
John Templeton
.."Just because you do not take an interest in politics doesn't mean politics won't take an interest in you"..
Pericles
..“Because of the extreme challenge, one must commit full attention to it.” Market speculation is “no different than trying to be a successful doctor or lawyer … you simply must devote yourself full-time to the study of your craft”...
